YAU-MAN KUNG FU SCHOOL
The Yau-Man Kung Fu School teaches two types of Chinese Martial Arts, KUNG-FU and TAI-CHI-CHUAN.
The Kung-Fu training is recomened for children older than 7 with no restrictions for adults. The student learns not only self defense techniques, but also how to handle various weapons in order to develop skills (like coordination and stregth) gained during the training.
There is no age restriction for the practice of tai-chi-chuan, although it is shought by young adults and middle aged people. It does not invole joint overload but it does improve muscular resistence, for that, it requires concentration, patience and perseverance.
Kung-Fu training schedule:
- Tue / Thu / Fri: 05:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Tue / Thu / Fri: 07:30 p.m. to 09:00 p.m.
Tai Chi Chuan training schedule:
- Mon / Wed / Fri: 08:00 p.m. to 09:00 p.m.
YAU-MAN Style Altar
The Yau-Man altar is considered a protector of the school and our students. We reverence the altar in respect of our Ancestors Masters with incense and with our hands.
O altar Yau-Man possui o significado de origem ou fundação, portanto nas academias de artes marciais existe sempre um altar, isso demonstra que o estilo segue uma linhagem.
It represents the orign and foundation, and that is why it is present on many martial arts schools, it demonstrates the school follows a lineage.
