Tai-Chi-Chuan was burn on the WuDang montain, north of China, as a Chinese Martial Arts style. Not only does it server as self defense, it also benefits the health of the practioners. It is based on the Yin-Yang theory and its principles are "form without form", "stillness in movement / movement in stillness".
In China there are many different styles of Tai Chi. At first there were 2 styles, the "Chen Family" and the "Ling Nan", both of them trained simultaneously the "hard force" and "smooth force". Later two more Tai Chi Families appeared the "Yang Family" and the "Wu Family", both of them practiced only the "smooth force". Both "hard force" and "smooth force" styles produce the same results and are both the base of the chinese Wushu, which represents the complementation of Yin and Yang, smooth and hard.
With the advance of technology and the microcomputer era, the human beings live stressed and lack of exercise. Many people practice excercises inadequately to compensate the lack of time wich can cause undesired results like muscle, tendon and articulation injuries. Another harmful habit are the inadequate methods for loosing weight.
